Trump Is Soaring in the Polls
by

Former President Donald Trump is surging in the polls ahead of the 2024 election.

The headline at Newsweek tells the tale:

Ron DeSantis Collapse Sees Trump Surge to Huge 2024 Lead, Polls Show

The story reports this:

Donald Trump has surged to a 36.1 percent lead over [Florida Gov.] Ron DeSantis as Republican voters’ preferred candidate for the 2024 presidential election, according to the latest data from the political analysis website Real Clear Politics.

The data shows 56 percent of Republicans have Trump as their favored candidate, well ahead of DeSantis at 19.9 percent and former Vice President Mike Pence at 5.9 percent.

Then there was this headline from the Daily Caller:

Trump Soars Over Competition, Expands Lead In New Fox News Poll

Over at Florida Atlantic University was this:

POLL: FLORIDA REPUBLICANS STRONGLY SUPPORT DONALD TRUMP FOR 2024 RUN

And, tellingly, there was this over at MSN:

Witch Hunt Backfires: Trump’s Favourability Soars In The Wake Of Civil Trial

The story reported:

An internal poll commissioned by the Trump campaign found that “the overwhelming majority” of Republican primary voters do not believe E. Jean Carroll’s accusations of sexual assault against former President Donald Trump.

The Co-Efficient poll was conducted on the same day that Trump was found liable in their civil trial.

The poll revealed that Trump’s favorability rating among likely Republican primary voters is 63 percent, “the strongest” in the GOP primary field. The poll also found that he holds a net favorability rating of plus 37 percent.

Belief barometer: Trump followers unshakable in their support.

There is a word to describe what we are seeing in headlines like these, not mention a multitude of other, decidedly similar headlines. That word would be “pattern.”

For all the headlines that next week DeSantis will throw his hat in the ring, joining others with names like Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, Asa Hutchinson, Vivek Ramaswamy, and soon, we’re told, former Vice President Mike Pence, it is abundantly clear that the Republican base is the Trump base.

They know him, they love him, and they ain’t going anywhere.

As the House Judiciary Committee whistleblower hearing vividly illustrates, there is a reason for this strong support of Trump. That reason is simple.

Millions of Americans see what’s going on with the corruption of the FBI as emblematic of what has been going on in all of Washington, D.C., and in one elite institution after another across the country.

Whether it’s federal government bureaucracies like the FBI, the “mainstream media,” academia, Hollywood, a beer company, or even a sports league, the suffocating stench of woke elitism has pervaded the entire country. And millions of Americans are sick of it.

Which in turn has them supporting Donald Trump because they know for sure that he agrees with them — and is not in the least afraid to say so.

In fact, the more Trump is attacked, the stronger his support grows. The various legal assaults on him are, in fact, backfiring — and backfiring big time.

And this is being seen in these polls showing Trump running away with the GOP nomination — with every indication that, come November of 2024, he will indeed beat Joe Biden like a drum.

Will there be clashes along the primary trail? Doubtless. But the problem Trump opponents will have is this: The more they attack him — the more they will help him.

Just watch the polls.
