On Tuesday, residents of San Francisco headed to the polls to cast their ballots on two major ballot measures that sound as though conservatives could have written them. Proposition F and E would mandate drug screening for individuals who receive public benefits and would make it easier for police to chase down criminals.

They point out that even the mayor of San Francisco, London Breed, has decided that coming out in support of the propositions is a good idea as she faces a potentially difficult reelection campaign.
