Some people might wonder how the Culture War turned against the Left so quickly. Only three years ago, progressives ruled America. They had the White House, both houses of Congress, academia, and the media, including entertainment and social media. They would silence anyone at will for questioning official pronouncements. Like COVID came from a wet market and not the Chinese bioweapon lab seven miles away. And an undertested vaccine guaranteed immunity.

Refusal to take the vaccine was a fireable offense, even for the toughest, fittest men in the military. Which was full of “white rage” anyway, according to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley. He mandated Critical Race Theory being taught at West Point, plus the ultimate warrior seminar, Understanding Whiteness and White Rage.
Hunter Biden’s laptop exposing his father Joe’s corruption was a Russian disinformation op. Thus stated 51 former intelligence officials in a letter. And the iconic newspaper that broke the story was erased on every social media platform, along with the President of the United States. Soon after, he was not only the ex-President but a convicted felon facing life in prison.
Feminists, blacks, and gays were the VIPs of Hollywood. White men needn’t apply, nor for that matter enjoy the product. They could only sit there and watch their toxic maleness reviled on the screen, and their once masculine heroes turned into pathetic wimps, with no more pretty girls to receive their Male Gaze.
Sexless girl bosses could take down the villain themselves, among them the legendary warrioress Snow White. As obnoxious starlet Rachel Ziegler crowed in 2022, “She’s not going to be saved by the prince, and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love. She’s going to be dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be.”
Yet a mere three years later, the Left is a wreck. And all the drag queen’s horses and all the beta men can’t put the Democrats together again. The Republicans now control the Congress. And progressives’ most hated, hammered, Hitlerian monster sits in the White House. Again, how could they have lost so much so fast? An opinion piece in last Wednesday’s the Wall Street Journal offers the answer.
Leftists built a house of cards, one marked card at a time, and each a pretty lie. Conservatives let them get away with it, never seeing the aces up their sleeves. Equality for black people sounded great, but the goal was inequality for whites. Women can have family and career, but motherhood sucked, hence unborn babies should be killed. And the right to marry whom you love meant the right to force everyone into celebrating same-sex weddings, particularly homophobic, sexist, racist Christians against their religion.
Yes, the house of cards kept rising. Then the liberals made one mistake. They added a blatantly twisted card — transgenderism. They tried to make normal folks accept it as reality. After all, they did control the media. So, they could cancel anyone for the imaginary new offenses of “misgendering” and “deadnaming.” As Twitter did the satirical Babylon Bee — for naming Biden’s ridiculous Assistant Secretary for Health, Rachel (Richard) Levine, the Bee’s “Man of the Year.”
I wrote in this magazine at the time that transgenderism would be “a rainbow bridge too far.” And Elon Musk burned it. History will record how Musk saved America, perhaps the world, by breaking the great silencing. A fan of the Babylon Bee, he resented its cancellation — enough to buy Twitter for $44 billion dollars.
Absent fear of social media erasure, realists started “regendering” transwomen as men and vice-versa. Old Twitter holdouts tried to stop the Daily Wire and Matt Walsh’s What Is a Woman? mockumentary from playing on the site, but Musk put a stop to them. Not much later, he fired 80 percent of the Twitter staff. Soon, the Left’s house of cards began to fall. Just how quickly is startlingly cited in a Wall Street Journal piece by University of Buckingham politics professor Eric Kauffman, “Welcome to the Post-Progressive Political Era.”
Kauffman wrote, “In Britain, YouGov’s tracker finds the under-25s moving sharply right on transgender issues and immigration since 2022. Both elite and public opinion on transgenderism has shifted against the left in the past two years, its first cultural loss in six decades.” Its first cultural loss in six decades, perhaps, but it won’t be the last. Because all the other fallen cards are now revealed for the rotten lies they are.
Leftist Power Depends on Immigration
Take immigration. Why do Democrats and their media wail like banshees over every illegal alien scumbag deported? To the point that a sitting circuit court judge (Hannah Dugan) tried to sneak an illegal alien defendant out the back, and away from ICE, with his victim’s aggrieved family in the courtroom? They couldn’t care less about the “due process” they whine about for the gullible.
But their hold on power depends on a mass influx of new voters to replace the countless they’ve lost. They’ve been importing substitutes for years. This is why they balk at citizen voter ID laws the vast majority of Americans support.
President Trump is on to their plan, and he knows he has a short amount of time to stop it. Leftists know this too, and they’re using lawfare to slow him down, including two moderates on the Supreme Court, Amy Comey Barrett and John Roberts. But the speed at which their house of cards has fallen suggests they’re running out of time.
