During the second segment, Newt made a surprising comeback by fielding a question right in his wheelhouse: what to do about the space program. Newt went into full futurism mode, bemoaning our lack of a permanent moon station.
The field failed to adequately field a question about the foreclosure crisis. No one had anything specific to say about that particular economy-wide problem.
The clear loser so far has been moderator John King’s time-limit warning system: he just starts saying “uh” when the debaters near their time limits — obnoxious.
