The Bill Daley show, that is. Daley is out as White House chief of staff, to be replaced by Jack Lew. Politico has a longish article on what led to his demise, but suffice it to say Daley wasn’t liberal enough, wasn’t well liked by congressional Democrats, was seeing his influence inside the administration wane, and faced questions about his political acumen.
