The Leftists are all atwitter over Sally Yates supposedly taking it to Ted Cruz during the Senate committee hearing about leaked emails associated with Russiagate (there is no Russiagate, there’s a Vivid Imagination Gate). This narrative is being built because fellow travelers on the Left don’t pay much attention, read the headlines, and get heartened that someone in the #resistance is resisting.
It’s all pathetic, but that’s where the Left is at these days: Chelsea Clinton and now, Sally Yates, is a hero. Gross.

What the Left likes in this exchange is that Sally Yates has the same smarmy lawyerly smile on her face that Cruz has on his. This is test of wits and she’s enjoying herself.
That’s all well and good, but she’s wrong on the merits of the argument. What she did, in refusing to enforce the policy of the new president was a firing offense. Cruz knows it. The whole panel knows it. Most importantly, Sally Yates knows it.
Sally Yates rebelled to score political points. She’s enjoying the exchange with Cruz to score political points. Yates knows that this exchange will help her future political ambitions and if anything came out of that production it’s this: Ted Cruz has met his ambitious match in Sally Yates.
Still, Yates lost. Cruz won.
Ultimately, the Sally Yates testimony was purely politics. The Left is aggrandizing her because it helps future political aims and because they’re pathetic losers searching for a win somewhere. Anywhere.
She lost. The Left lost. Their denial and babyish resistance doesn’t change that fact.
