Obama Plays ‘Sexism’ Card to Rally Flagging Hillary Supporters
by

It was a rough weekend at Granny Camp. Now the Speechgiver in-Chief is hitting the road to help push Hillary over the top. As we’ve seen lately she almost always needs a lot of help getting up and over anything. The enthusiasm among the “I’m with Her” crowd isn’t exactly peaking with one week to go here.

The good news about that is we finally know that there’s only so much even die-hard Democrats can take in service of the Hive Mind. The bad news is that half of them probably voted a week ago.

As with most Democrats forced to fire up the crowds for Hillary these days, President Obama doesn’t have a lot that’s nice to say about her. It’s just “Scary Trump!” fare, generally followed by his trademark condescension as he tells voters they’re idiots if they are struggling with this choice. In a sign that the faithful are a smidge panicky, Obama resorted to playing the sexism card at a rally today.

President Barack Obama said Tuesday that sexism is to blame for the tight race for the White House, telling an Ohio crowd that “Hillary Clinton is consistently treated differently than just about any other candidate I see out there.”

Obama went on: “There’s a reason we haven’t had a woman president.”

Speaking specifically to “the guys out there,” Obama told them to “look inside yourself and ask yourself, if you’re having problems with this stuff how much of it is that we’re just not used to it?”

He noted, “When a guy is ambitious and out in the public arena and working hard, well that’s okay, but when a woman suddenly does it, suddenly you’re all like, ‘Well, why’s she doing that? I’m just being honest.”

The president added that Clinton is “so much better qualified than” Republican Donald Trump. “This notion that it’s somehow hard to choose? it shouldn’t be.”

For Democrats, the year 2016 barely exists. When they’re talking race relations, it’s 1962 in their minds. When it comes to women, they pretend it’s 1955, unless it’s an election year, then we’re back in the Harding administration. They’re firmly rooted in the 1930s on all things related to economics. It is against this backdrop that a Harvard-educated man can say that the problem people have with Hillary Clinton in 2016 is that she’s too ambitious and should be back in the kitchen.

Well, he implied that.

Democrats in the modern era have also shown a remarkable indifference to illegal behavior. Once you’ve forgiven Teddy Kennedy for making a cocktail after drowning a woman, other non-murderous transgressions are easy to overlook. Mrs. Clinton’s litany of appearances of impropriety may wearing on even criminal-indulgent Dems.

A lifelong Democrat friend who’s had the election night party favors ready for a month texted me today and asked if Trump is going to win. I can tell that’s a possibility she wouldn’t have remotely considered just 10 days ago.

There is no reason to rule out anything this crazy year. Remember, according the media hacks this was essentially all over last week at this time.

Strap in and enjoy the ride. It’s going to be bumpy but interesting.
