Former Vice President Joe Biden has been busted for golfing with Devon Archer, a board member of Burisma Holdings, the corrupt Ukrainian energy company that also had Hunter Biden on its board.
Fox’s Tucker Carlson has now exclusively surfaced a telling 2014 photo of Joe Biden posing at a golf game in the Hamptons with the two board members of Burisma, Biden’s son, and Archer. Fox reports:
EXCLUSIVE: A photo obtained by Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” shows former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter golfing in the Hamptons with Devon Archer, who served on the board of the Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings with Hunter.
Earlier this month, Joe Biden told Fox News in Iowa that he never discussed his son’s foreign business dealings with him.
“I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings,” Biden said, pointing the finger at President Trump. “I know Trump deserves to be investigated. He is violating every basic norm of a president. You should be asking him why is he on the phone with a foreign leader, trying to intimidate a foreign leader. You should be looking at Trump.”
Hunter Biden told The New Yorker previously that he and his father had spoken “just once” about his work in Ukraine.
A source close to Archer told Fox News the photo was taken in August 2014. Contemporaneous news reports indicate the vice president was in the Hamptons at the time.
Hunter Biden and Archer joined the Burisma Holdings board in April 2014.
Got that? “Hunter Biden and Archer joined the Burisma Holdings board in April 2014” — and that smiling photo of Biden with Hunter and Devon Archer was taken in August 2014 — five months after Hunter and Devon Archer joined the board. As noted in the Federalist, Biden boasted in a 2018 appearance at the Council on Foreign Relations that he had threatened the Ukrainian president with withholding U.S. aid if he didn’t fire Viktor Shokin, the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma.
As the Hill’s John Solomon reported back in April, the fired prosecutor Shokin himself told Solomon
in written answers to questions that, before he was fired as general prosecutor, he had made “specific plans” for the investigation that “included interrogations and other crime-investigation procedures into all members of the executive board, including Hunter Biden.”
The Hunter Biden-Burisma connection was so obviously not good that it caused a major rupture with Hunter Biden and Devon Archer’s business partner, Chris Heinz. (Full disclosure: While Chris Heinz is usually identified in the current raft of reports about Hunter Biden as the stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry, in fact Chris Heinz is the son of my former boss, the late Pennsylvania U.S. Senator John Heinz, whom I served as executive assistant. Senator Heinz died in a plane crash in 1991.) Chris Heinz was so disturbed by Hunter Biden’s relationship with Burisma that the Washington Post reported this:
Chris Heinz, Kerry’s stepson, told Archer that joining Burisma was a bad idea, according to a spokesman for Heinz. Heinz was concerned about reports of corruption in Ukraine, geopolitical risks and general questions about appearance.
“Mr. Heinz strongly warned Mr. Archer that working with Burisma was unacceptable. Mr. Archer stated that he and Hunter Biden intended to pursue the opportunity as individuals, not as part of the firm,” Heinz spokesman Chris Bastardi told The Post.
The decision fractured the firm.
‘The lack of judgment in this matter was a major catalyst for Mr. Heinz ending his business relationships with Mr. Archer and Mr. Biden,” Bastardi said, adding that Heinz and his investment firm were never involved with Burisma.
Clearly, the very fact that Chris Heinz was disturbed enough to end his business relationship with Hunter Biden and Devon Archer speaks volumes about just how obviously bad this tie with Hunter Biden, Archer and Burisma was.
South Carolina’s Sen. Lindsey Graham appeared on Maria Bartiromo’s Sunday Fox show to say this:
Joe Biden said everybody’s looked at this and found nothing. Who is everybody? Nobody’s looked at the Ukraine and the Bidens. Nobody’s looked at the role the Ukraine played in the 2016 election.
Do you think the media in America would really look at it and report on it if there was something bad for the Bidens or they unduly interfered in the 2016 election? … I’m calling for somebody in the Justice Department to look at all things Ukraine. We have looked at all things Russia and Trump, his family, everything about his family, every transaction between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Now it’s time to see whether or not the Ukrainians released information regarding Manafort, who was Trump’s campaign manager. What relationships, if any, did the Biden world have to the Ukraine? What role, if any, did the Ukraine play in the 2016 election? So nobody’s looked at this, but somebody should. So I’m hoping the Department of Justice will look at the Biden-Ukraine connection, like we looked at the Trump-Russia connection.
Exactly.
And simultaneous with the busting of Biden?
Appearing on Sean Hannity’s radio show on Monday, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich said the use of the word “impeachment” in the current firestorm was inaccurate. This isn’t about an impeachment, he said. It’s about a coup. As in a coup d’état.
Gingrich wrote it out the next day on the Fox News website:
I want to talk about the importance of words and the context they create. And I want to urge everybody who’s fair to never use the word “impeachment” for the current political process, because it has nothing to do with an impeachment.
This is a legislative coup d’état. It is an effort by the hard left, the news media, and the deep state to destroy the president chosen by the American people. This is a project they’ve been involved in since election night 2016.
The former speaker is right. A “legislative coup d’état” is exactly what this so-called “impeachment” really is. Pelosi and her Democrat caucus have been trying to overturn the 2016 election from the get-go, and this coup is but the latest attempt.
Make no mistake. When it comes to President Trump, the Left — with Pelosi as its figurehead — can’t act fast enough to push its legislative coup d’état. And at the same time the Leftist State Media will do everything in its power not only to support the coup but also to protect Biden, and beyond that former President Obama from any investigation into Obama-Biden corruption in their dealings with Ukraine. This is exactly why the New York Times and the Washington Post have begun to go after Attorney General Bill Barr: because he is getting to the bottom of the Deep State’s shenanigans.
Here are (at least!) three questions that should be asked:
This is a seriously bad moment in American history. From the misuse of the intelligence agencies to the Biden cronyism, the Obama-Biden administration must be investigated thoroughly to discover exactly the extent of the corruption it both tolerated and instigated.
