Professor Vatz is professor of rhetoric and communication at Towson University and is the longest-serving faculty member on Towson’s University Senate. He is author of “The Only Authentic of Persuasion: the Agenda-Spin Model” (LAD Custom Publishing, 2019) and the co-editor of “Thomas S. Szasz: the Man and His Ideas” (Transaction Publishers, 2017). He has published in the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the Baltimore Sun, the Chronicle of Higher Education, and many other venues, and he has won many university and national teaching awards.
