I’ve written about the National Rifle Association’s recent endorsements of Democrats and conflicts with other parts of the conservative movement, so I thought I’d point out the following: the NRA has spent more than $2.8 million between Oct. 4 and Oct. 10, ranking sixth in total campaign spending during that time period, and all of the money went to Republicans. So while the issues discussed in my September cover story on the NRA remain important, they should also be kept in perspective.
