Considering the lively debate I had yesterday with Jeff Lord in which he, clearly an advocate for Newt Gingrich, said that somehow the reluctance of some conservatives to support Christine O’Donnell for Senate in Delaware was an equivalent betrayal to the betrayal that occurred when Newt Gingrich supported DeDe Scozzafava over Doug Hoffman in New York 23, this news is just too rich: Christine O’Donnell, Jeff’s belle, has now endorsed Mitt Romney for president. Gee, does that make Ms. O’Donnell a betrayor of conservatives?
Hah!
For the record, in my private capacity, I do not agree with Ms. O’Donnell’s endorsement. I also do not find it a betrayal. It’s just a difference of opinion. I’m still waiting for Godot…. er, for Paul Ryan or Bobby Jindal… or for Rick Santorum to catch fire. Or, as Jay Cost writes today, I am waiting for a man to meet the moment.
