It will be interesting to see if the recent rightward trend in Orrin Hatch’s voting record — votes for the Rand Paul budget and against bipartisan spending deals, for instance — continues with Jason Chaffetz ruling out a Senate bid.
Chaffetz isn’t the only possible Hatch challenger, but he was the strongest.
