I’m intrigued by Huntsman’s endorsement of the Ryan plan. He is supposed to be the most moderate in the field, yet he is taking a political risk many of the conservatives running for the Republican nomination won’t take. Having said that, Arlen Specter endorsed a modified flat tax during his uber-moderate 1996 presidential campaign. So it doesn’t guarantee anything.
