This morning on NBC’s Today Show, Matt Lauer said that he thought his fellow NBC wing-nut, Chris Matthews, had “put it well” by saying (in regard to Obama’s unwillingness to negotiate regarding a delay in Obamacare’s individual mandate) “Obamacare is the president’s baby, and nobody can give away their baby.”
They both seem to have missed the point that while Republicans would surely like to abort Obamacare, all they are asking for at this time is a one-year delay in the individual mandate to match the administration’s (illegal) one-year delay in the employer mandate.
It also goes without saying that most people’s babies don’t impact 300 million fellow citizens.
But this is where so many Americans get their news, it’s no wonder that Obama’s favorability ratings remain stubbornly high despite is repeated failures.
