Madeline Albright has called Biden’s warning about an inevitable crisis if Obama is elected president a “statement of fact.” But the key thing to remember about Biden’s comments are not that he merely predicted a crisis — I’m sure you can find clips somewhere of Republicans saying the same — but that Biden specificially said it would be “a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.” In other words, a crisis that would otherwise not have occured will happen now merely to test Obama. So according to Biden, by voting for McCain, you’d be sparing the country this manufactured international crisis.
