P.S. Is it possible that Obama’s momentum is so overwhelming — he’s got a commanding lead in every poll now — that it’s actually discouraging some independents from voting for him? If the GOP race is a real contest and the Dem race isn’t, you might as well vote in the one where you can make more of a difference, no?
