I’ve taken to watching reruns of Leave it to Beaver over the holiday and thought as we begin a new year some might take solace in this bit of advice I just saw Ward Cleaver deliver on the occasion of his son Wally being told by the prettiest girl in school that he had a “pug nose”:
“Some of the homeliest people in the world have done the greatest things.”
And hope blooms again!
