You just have to love the hilarious way the liberal press needs Rush Limbaugh to sell papers.

Here’s the Washington Post’s Erik Wemple simultaneously admitting that there’s nothing to the liberal media generated confection that Rush Limbaugh told a listener not to watch Fox. Then admitting the story is bogus. (As anyone who actually listens to all three hours of Rush instead of liberal media Rush-snippets well knows.) Then accusing Fox of using Rush to get ratings, calling this ancient media ritual “a question of cross-platform dependency” and asking “Does Fox News need Rush Limbaugh more than Rush Limbaugh needs Fox News?”

Hmmm. Do ABC,CBS, NBC, MSNBC and CNN need the Washington Post and the New York Times more than the Washington Post and the New York Times need ABC,CBS,NBC,MSNBC and CNN?

Sigh.

Mr. Wemple doesn’t say. Doubtless he was too busy watching the left-wing networks regurgitating his paper’s prose, and that of the Times, on the evening news to ponder the mysteries of decades of liberal “cross-platform dependency.” When he wasn’t busy reading network stories in his paper — and the Times.

As they say, fish don’t know they’re in water.
