A new Rasmussen survey brought to my attention by the folks at Reason:
Most Americans recognize that there are more gun owners in the United States today than there were 20 years ago but don’t know that gun crime in the country has gone down in that same period of time.
This raises some questions: How would those 64% feel if they knew the truth? Would 90% still support expanded background checks? Would sentiment about gun control be any less contradictory?
