(1) Even if Paul doesn’t thrill you, whether it’s legitimate to lock him out is another question.

(2) Quin, I hope you’re right on net worth. But it’s irritating how often two parents must now work to provide the goods that one used to be able to do. Too much sleight of hand with individual vs. household incomes is going on. Complancency here isn’t the proper alternative to demagoguery.

(3) McCain is indeed walking away with the debate. Mitt is much better this time. Huckabee was going strong until immigration hit. Rudy and Fred seem sometimes to be in a different room. Not bad performances — sharp actually — but there’s a disconnect. Inevitable I suppose. Fred at least is adjacent to someone he can scrap with.
