Planned Parenthood Tells Young Girl to Experiment With Getting ‘Spanked, Whipped, or Hit’

By on 7.24.14 | 10:49AM

Whenever conservatives talk about defunding Planned Parenthood, the left points out that the women's "health" business also provides a number of important services other than abortions. Pro-life group Live Action recently released a video that showed a Planned Parenthood employee providing one of these services: teaching underage girls about S&M.

The video is the fourth released by Live Action showing Planned Parenthood staffers encouraging investigators posing as fifteen-year-old girls to to partake in violent sex. From the Daily Caller:

In uncensored transcripts obtained by the Daily Caller, the girl tells the counselor her boyfriend wanted to try some “kink,” although she herself has no idea what that means.

“Different people have different types of fetishes,” the counselor explains. “Some guys like feet, and they find that kinky, and maybe they’ll wanna suck on your toes during intercourse. Or some guys will even want to, you know, ejaculate into your shoes, which is a little different.”

A Woman’s Right to Choose

By on 7.15.14 | 5:34PM

In the course of my journalistic wanderings, I met a woman who gave up a dream of becoming a medical researcher to marry a farmer and have ten children. She not only homeschools them all, but also teaches a theological course for local teenagers at her kitchen table. And she enjoys it:

“I didn’t realize just how important motherhood is until I became a mother,” she told me at the Deseret News. “I think motherhood is the answer to changing the world instead of what I thought I was going to do.”

The Abortion Debate in Louisiana: A Defense of Incrementalism

By on 6.13.14 | 5:27PM

With the rise of Sandra Fluke and Wendy Davis, abortion has been frequently thrust into the mainstream debate. Now it's back in the news, this time in a heavily contested race in Louisiana, where Democratic incumbent Senator Mary Landrieu is running for her political life against Republican Congressman Bill Cassidy. In the middle of a race where the two candidates could not be more distinct on abortion, Louisiana Republican Governor Bobby Jindal signed a bill today that has pro-life groups celebrating.

Landrieu is angry over what one of the bills is slated to do. According to Reuters:

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal signed new restrictions on abortion clinics into law on Thursday, a move his critics have said will force three of the state's five clinics to close.

The measure, one of two abortion-related bills signed by the Republican governor, requires physicians who perform the procedure to have admitting privileges at a hospital within 30 miles (48 km) of the place where the abortion is performed.

Update on Yesterday’s Baby Incineration Story

By on 4.25.14 | 10:57AM

Yesterday we reported on the British Columbia Health Ministry's admission that it was sending the remains of aborted babies to a waste-to-power facility in Oregon. Disgusted by this practice, the Marion County Board of Commissioners has put a halt to all burning of medical waste while the situation is investigated:

“We are outraged and disgusted that this material could be included in medical waste received at the facility,” said Commissioner Janet Carlson. “We did not know this practice was occurring until today. We are taking immediate action and initiating discussions with Covanta Marion to make certain that this type of medical waste is not accepted in the future.”

Marion County Chair Sam Brentano says if that is the case it cannot be tolerated. He immediately stopped the burning of all medical waste while the county looks into the report. An emergency commission meeting was scheduled for Thursday morning.

Baby Incineration Reaches American Soil

By on 4.24.14 | 11:48AM

What kind of world are we living in?

The British Columbia Health Ministry has admitted that the remains of babies destroyed by abortion in [British Columbia] facilities are ending up in a waste-to-power facility in the United States, providing electricity for residents of Oregon.

The province’s Health Ministry said in an email to the B.C. Catholic that “biomedical waste” shipped to the U.S. to be incinerated includes “human tissue, such as surgically removed cancerous tissue, amputated limbs, and fetal tissue.”

When the story broke that the British HHS was involved in this disgusting practice, it was somehow easier to swallow knowing the incinerators were an ocean away. However, knowing that baby body parts are being used to generate electricity in American homes gives the abhorrent reality a new urgency.

Help Make A Documentary on Kermit Gosnell

By on 4.2.14 | 12:49PM

Gross media negligence on the Kermit Gosnell trial has left many disgusted.

That case signified the turning of the tide against late-term abortion, as more states pass legislation banning and regulating the gruesome process every day. In fact, this may be the “Uncle Tom” moment of the abortion movement, as younger Americans come to realize what abortion actually is.

While I don’t usually rally for fundraising causes, this one is worthy.

Ann and Phelim Media, an independent production company, is trying to crowdsource $2.1 million over the next forty days to produce a movie about Kermit Gosnell. You can find more at this link.

To actually be an “Uncle Tom” moment, the pro-life movement needs a piece of pop culture. A documentary seems fitting.

If you are so inclined, please give. If you donate $25, you’ll get a copy of the DVD for free. Help these guys spread the truth about this killer.

Britain Incinerates Babies for Fuel

By on 3.26.14 | 11:10AM

Recall Jonathan Swift's A Modest Proposal, where Swift satirically suggests wealthy Englishmen eat poor Irish babies as a delicacy to solve the problem of a rampant poverty-stricken population. Of course, he never meant a word of it. He meant to shock.

Melanie McDonagh said it best when she commented that “Swift couldn’t have made it up” in regards to the following story:

The remains of at least 15,500 aborted and miscarried babies were incinerated as clinical waste and even used to heat some hospitals in the United Kingdom, an investigation has revealed.

The Department of Health on Sunday issued an instant ban after 10 National Health Service trusts admitted to burning fetal remains alongside garbage and two others used the remains in “waste-to-energy” programs, the U.K. Telegraph reported.

In fact, I wonder if Swift could have even imagined this abhorrent practice.

Planned Parenthood Did It All for the Money, the What, the Money

By on 3.21.14 | 3:33PM

The Federalist has an incredible article today, dealing with Planned Parenthood’s complicity in ignoring and frankly covering up Kermit Gosnell's horrors at his abortion clinic. The entire piece is well worth the read.

There are a few choice bits I’d like to deal with here. First, it is all too fitting that Planned Parenthood is trying to electorally defeat the cousin of one of Gosnell’s victims, Margo Davidson, who's running for reelection as a state representative. Davidson spoke out after seeing what Gosnell did to her cousin, Semika Shaw:

Are Abortion Doctors “Helping” Women?

By on 3.19.14 | 1:32PM

“We need to be vocal and educate people about this—abortion is not a terrible social ill, it’s just a part of women’s health.” –Doctor Estes to Tara Culp-Ressler

“The biggest weapon in the other side’s arsenal is shame and stigma.” –Merle Hoffman, CEO of Choices, to Culp-Ressler.

Abortion providers are nervous. States across the nation, most notably Texas, Ohio, and Mississippi, have passed late-term abortion bans and other restrictions on the unethical procedure.

Tara Culp-Ressler’s piece at Think Progress illustrates the desperation of these doctors, who must deal with the limitations of their “job options,” along with, God forbid, Christmas cards from pro-lifers who pray for them.

Can we really see abortion professionals as martyrs in this regard? Throughout the piece, we read about “help,” “care,” “social justice,” “reproductive rights,” and women’s health. No mention of what abortion actually is: the destruction of a life. It doesn’t matter how young that life is: it is a human, not a “fetus.”

Is the Left Losing on Abortion?

By on 3.11.14 | 1:47PM

It looks like the Democrats are steadily losing the war on women.

The state of West Virginia, which votes for Republican presidents but has a Democratic governor and state legislature, passed a ban on abortions after 20 weeks because babies are viable outside the womb and can feel pain.

West Virginia is the first Democrat-ruled state to do so, and the vote was not even close:

The state’s Democrat-led House the House passed the bill 85-15, according to the Associated Press. The Senate had previously passed the bill 25 to 9, according to the Herald Dispatch.

The outstanding support for the ban should encourage the pro-life community. Even liberals are having a hard time justifying abortions when premature babies have survived outside the womb after 20 weeks.
