Huck Be Politically Dead

This horrible story about the cop killer in Washington State gets far worse once you find out that the guy should have been in prison for decades more already. The fact that it was the asinine Mike Huckabee who commuted his sentence merely confirms all the stories that I and others spent so much timne in 2007-2008 trying to alert people to -- namely, that Huckabee A) has massive ethical problems and B) that his history of commutations of criminals shows a reckless disregard for public safety and for victims' rights. (Please do go back to that period and look up all my column and blog warnings to this effect.) Huckabee is no more fit to be president than Tiger Woods is fit to give driving lessons. Huck now says he is leaning against running for president in 2012. It would be better if he changed "in 2012" to "ever."

Perhaps Huckabee could run for president of La Raza, an organization he once held in high esteem until he wanted to run for president. La Raza, by supporting illegal aliens, has the blood of thousands of drunk driving deaths on its hands so Huckabee would feel at home with them as he has the blood of the four dead police officers on his hands now.

The Wayne DuMond situation (released by Huckleberry and killed a mother of 3 in MO) should have finished Huckleberry as a viable candidate. He is an opportunist and a fool, and about as much a real conservative as Dick Nixon was. As governor, when he was not busy raising taxes on the citizens he conned, he loved playing "Mr. Compassionate", giving the "least of us" their second (actually in most cases, their tenth or twentieth) chance by releasing them from prison. He set records in pardons and commutations. At least Dukakis only furloughed his embarrassment; he didn't release him outright. Now Mr. Maurice Clemmons is suspected of murdering four police officers in the state of Washington. Well, at least Clemmons preyed on people on the West Coast rather than "down home" in Arkansas. And the gov when asked says that mistakes were made in the criminal justice systems of AR and WA--yeah, like ever allowing a jerk like Huckleberry the executive power of the pardon and commutation.

I won't bother reposting my comments on the Huckster, but will say his closet is full of these skeletons. More than a thousand pardons, many of them political favors. More pardons than the three previous administrations combined over an 18 year period.

Huck is a bad guy, not just naive.

Adam,
Once I found out that he was a liberal Repub. I had made up my mind anyway. My husband informed me about his tax raising and that did it for me. That was some time ago.
I know from past postings you got the idea that I don't see quite clearly. I do though. it's just that I go according to reality in my life.
The truth is, and I will say it again... I am against a third party because it doesn't work. It only serves to split the vote and give the election to the Democrats.
Sarah Palin said the same things I had been saying in interviews all over the place. She, like me, believes in the planks of the Republican Party's platform. She, like me, knows that we need to take back the party. Conservatives. If we don't, we will be more lost as a country than ever.
Believe me, I know the real deal when I see it. Sarah palin is the real deal.
Will you back her?
If not, we still need to unite and vote Republican. Unless we want Obama II.
Let the flaming begin. I am impervious.

I [and many, many others as well] could not agree more [and for reasons unrelated to this commutation issue]. Huck is just a Baptist preacher/politician from Arkansas who is similar in many ways to Bill Clinton's 'D'. His political brand of MODERATION is what is NOT NEEDED for solutions to the trememdous problems that this country now faces. We are way beyond the needs of a Huckabee, Clinton, McCain, etc at this point. We despretly need a Palin, Thompson, Barber, Bolton, Chaney, etc with the political GUTS to call spades, SPADES; and then to begin the process of doing something concrete about it [instead of just talking about it to death]. Whether it be Washinton State's abhorrant assination of these police officers or [Texas'] the Fort Hood military personnel; this criminal and/or [potential] terrorist activity has got to be stopped NOW [beginning with 2010's elections]. It's way past time for POLITICAL CORRECTNESS and MODERATE political candidates to be shoved aside if this country is going to survive!!!!!

Today Huckabee released this statement. The murderer was given a commutation of a sentence by Huckabee when he was 16 yrs. old and was in prison for burglary and robbery. The sentence was over 100 yrs. and it was reduced to 40-something. He served 11 yrs.
