CNN Sucks: Climategate Never Happened

The last place cable news network is following the same tack it took on the ACORN scandal, which is, ignore the story that is not only overturning the cart and its apples, but is also mincing them into a pulp fit for a Mott's jar.

The last place cable news network is following the same tack it took on the ACORN scandal, which is, ignore the story that is not only overturning the cart and its apples, but is also crushing them into a pulp fit for a Mott's jar. Climategate was absent from CNN Sucks' weekend discussions (at least as far as the transcripts identify), and now this morning on its home page the network highlights a report on catastrophic sea level rise predictions from children of the same discredited bunch!

London, England (CNN) -- A possible rise in sea levels by 0.5 meters by 2050 could put at risk more than $28 trillion worth of assets in the world's largest coastal cities, according to a report compiled for the insurance industry. (!!!)...

The report, released on Monday by WWF and financial services Allianz, concludes that the world's diverse regions and ecosystems are close to temperature thresholds -- or "tipping points."

WWF is the "tipping points" specialist, finding new ones all the time. More from CNN Sucks:

According to the report, carried out by the UK-based Tyndall Centre, the impacts of passing "Tipping Points" on the livelihoods of people and economic assets have been underestimated.

Global temperatures have already risen by at least 0.7 degrees Celsius and the report says a further rise by 2-3 degrees in the second half of the century is likely unless deep cuts in emissions are put in place before 2015.

Incredibly the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit, from where this scandal has erupted, accounts for 11 of the 28 researchers listed as "founders" of the Tyndall Centre. So what is it? A collaborative effort of:

scientists, economists, engineers and social scientists, who together are working to develop sustainable responses to climate change through trans-disciplinary research and dialogue on both a national and international level - not just within the research community, but also with business leaders, policy advisors, the media and the public in general.

Also, UEA is the headquarters for the Tyndall Centre, but at the same time (at least based on some Climategate emails) it appears they are both competitors and collaborators for research projects and funding. The report for WWF was authored by UEA's Anthony Footitt and Tim Lenton, who are not listed as part of the CRU staff.

I could go off on so many tangents, but back to CNN Sucks. As with the New York Times and reporter Andrew Revkin, clearly the network has their own revenue-producing projects they need to protect (as does parent corporation Time-Warner). Expect them to continue to act as though nothing has been discredited, because then they would have to admit being discredited themselves.

I pity those who depend on CNN for their news and information. I also think the folks there and also Time Warner included are "true believers" and not much can be expected of them. But the one thing that should be said over and over again is that "they lie and people die." This would apply to our troops over seas. Worse though is once enough people recognize that they are liars, then when there is something actually truthful of an emergent nature that they broadcast, people may hesitate and not believe them. Sort of the "Boy who cried wolf"

It's not just CNN. All the big media outlets spin and omit info or outright lie to the public. All according to their own agenda. MSNBC, ABC, FOX and CNN are all the same BS. That's what happens when you have a media monopoly.

FOX News is FAIR & BALANCED

The leaked e-mails include many detailing the creation of the Tyndall Center. I think IPCC head Pachauri had a hand in it as well.

Doing "Planet In Peril" is so much easier than real news.
And CNN Sucks has the nerve to condemn FoxNews for putting out fluff.

Media Monopoly Person,

You are more stupid than a dog. Dogs do not poop in their own bed.
Having cable and watching CNN is stupid. IF one has cable, or the internet, one can get a pretty good glimpse of the issues from FOX. Yeah they gotta' sell "newspapers", but having said that, they at least report the issues.
CNN doesn't. They lie and/or ignore.

OT but we are going into meltdown mode in politics over here in Australia. Extraordinary scenes as the leader of the opposition walks out, then claims victory for the ETS despite not having it. Looks like Turnbull wont last the week and I would say K Rudd is next in line.

Also see Andrew Bolt’s blog – its going into meltdown over the issue;

Dear Al Gore, IPCC, etc.

CLIMATE-GATE has arrived !

The jig is up !
Time to pay the piper !

FOX News is FAIR AND BALANCED??

You people who BLINDLY follow ANYONE are all feeding from the same trough.

IF I had to suffer the cursed fate of having to depend on a MSM source for my news, it would be FOX over the others. But they aren't God! They fake things and are for ratings just like everyone else. They just appeal to the conservative sheep.

Dougetit| 11.24.09 @ 11:24PM

Believe me... this is WAY bigger than most people know. I have downloaded the entire (65MB) file an found much more than is posted on the internet, MORE than enough evidence to put the average Joe away for a long time. It will be interesting to see how long MSM is forced to report it. I give them a week, Any bets?

John,
There has been some email traffic in the last few days to a week - quite
a bit really, only a small part about MSU. The main part has been one of
your House subcommittees wanting Mike Mann and others and IPCC
to respond on how they produced their reconstructions and how IPCC
produced their report.
In case you want to look at this see later in the email !

Also this load of rubbish !

This is from an Australian at BMRC (not Neville Nicholls). It began from the attached

article. What an idiot.

The SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY WOULD COME DOWN ON ME IN NO
UNCERTAIN TERMS IF I SAID THE WORLD HAD COOLED FROM 1998.

OK IT HAS BUT IT IS ONLY 7 YEARS OF DATA AND IT ISN'T STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT.

**********

The Australian also alerted me to this blogging ! I think this is the term ! Luckily I don't live in Australia."

Looks like Global Warming's not so bad after all. Well: now the lawsuits are going to start flying and we'll uncover this the old fashioned way.

BMF| 11.30.09 @ 12:49PM

It's official.

It's now Gore-Bile Warming. It's the cross collaborative fusion of the rants of mentally ill politicians, the hysteria of environmental wackos, the manipulation of data by corrupt scientists, and the unquestioning collusion of that political cesspool we call the United Nations.

We've spent trillions of dollars based on this junk science, and the House and Senate are drafting legislation that will destroy our economy, put millions out of work, significantly reduce the quality of life for everyone (including the poorest among us), and for what?

I think the President of the European Union said it best. The Copenhagen Accords represent the greatest step forward for global governance.

Don't you think it strange that he didn't say it was to save the planet. The fact is, global governance and government control over every aspect of our lives has been the goal all along.

If the Democrats were serious about reducing carbon emissions, don't you think we would be building nuclear power plans. The new coal burning plants have technologies that reduce carbon emissions below the initial Copenhagen goals.

This isn't about fixing problems--its about money and control.
