At the same time that the DNC and his own White House are trying to argue that people voicing their concerns about health care legislation to their elected representatives are "manufactured," President Obama just sent out an email to members of his Organizing for America operation to "commit now to taking at least one action in your community this month to build support for health insurance reform..."

He wrote:

Organizing for America is putting together thousands of events this month where you can reach out to neighbors, show your support, and make certain your members of Congress know that you're counting on them to act.

But these canvasses, town halls, and gatherings only make a difference if you turn up to knock on doors, share your views, and show your support. So here's what I need from you:

Can you commit to join at least one event in your community this month?

Obviously, it sounds entirely spontaneous. For the president, that is. He knee jerks everything into an opportunity to reach out to his supporters and ask them to jump into action. So much different from the tea party participants and town hall attendees where the individual or organizations responsible for their activities are "birthers" and right wing attack machines.

I think those of us who value our freedoms need to serve it right back into their court. That is what Rush is doing. He just played a clip where Obama was encouraging his supporters to get in people's faces. Hope it goes viral.

WHY do we need to "pressure anyone" to pass this farce? The Farce is spending billions to trillions to provide coverage to about 20 million Americans. Half of these people make over $75k a year and simply refuse to pay. In that 47 million group exists about 13 million illegal immigrants or persons here on visas. If pressure is needed to pass this farce, doesn't that indicate TYRANNY?
Furthemore, we don't appreciate being labeled "astro-turfers" "tea-baggers" or mobs when we simply exercise our FIRST AMMENDMENT RIGHTS! The true extremist are the CZARS, lobbyists and those elected officials whom are ignoring the USA Constitution and Our Bill Of Rights. GOD BLESS AMERICA

Let's take back our country by throwing out all politicians and stop paying taxes.

DPflaum| 8.5.09 @ 6:44PM

It's time to take our Country BACK! Get out & vote in the next election to "throw the bums out". Contact all your friends, family, acquiantances, business associates - anyone & everyone that can vote. Have them ALL contact their Representatives & Senators & then remember to "VOTE THE BUMS OUT" in 2010!!!

Someone, somewhere, needs to find an impeachable act that will "stick" & send OBAMA back where he came from - to his thugs in Southside Chicago! This man is dangerous - he is taking our freedoms one-by-one & we can't wait until 2012 - it will be too late at that time.

We need to fight fire with fire and use the same tactics including technology to reach everyone the same way the obamanites do. I agree with Becky. All opposed to obama need to unite and be careful not to fall for his regime's attempts to "divide and conquer". We need to get more involved in main stream media to reach the ignorant masses that follow him blindly taken up by the aura MSM puts forward all the time around obama and by sweeping everything under the carpet if it can shed a negative light on him.

I agree we should throw them all out. We need to organize and get the vote out in 2010.

My question is if this is so good for the American people why is Congress exempt from the bill. Aren't (or weren't) they Americans too?

We need a theme to carry to Washington DC Sept 12th Tea Party. I have my thinking cap on, input please. "Save America from Big Government"
"Take America Back" "America the Dutiful"
"America the FREE from Government Control"
"Government Free America"
"American's Runs Government"

There really is a need to remind politicians, both parties, they work for the American people. Why was it ok for people to dissent from President Bush's policies but not Obama?! Politicians work for the American people!! That should be our rally cry. And there really should be a call for term limits on all politicians because they have gained to much power and no longer think they need to read bills or listen to the American people.

Our lapdog congressman (Heath Shuler-D-NC) has 'gone to ground'. The only meetings he will schedule are one a one-way phone call with those selected list. I'm a Democrat with 39 years in the US military...not a mob member. I want to know why he made his choices and broke his promises to us before we throw him out of office.
