I Thought Global Warming Meant "Warming"
Apparently Global Warming doesn't really mean "warming" as most of us would understand it. At least, the temperatures haven't been cooperating. Reports the Daily Telegraph:
For the second time in little over a year, it looks as though the world may be heading for a serious food crisis, thanks to our old friend "climate change". In many parts of the world recently the weather has not been too brilliant for farmers. After a fearsomely cold winter, June brought heavy snowfall across large parts of western Canada and the northern states of the American Midwest. In Manitoba last week, it was -4ºC. North Dakota had its first June snow for 60 years.
There was midsummer snow not just in Norway and the Cairngorms, but even in Saudi Arabia. At least in the southern hemisphere it is winter, but snowfalls in New Zealand and Australia have been abnormal. There have been frosts in Brazil, elsewhere in South America they have had prolonged droughts, while in China they have had to cope with abnormal rain and freak hailstorms, which in one province killed 20 people.
So, Congress is considering legislation to destroy the economy in order to stop global warming, even as colder temperatures are driving down food production. Something seems wrong with this picture!

Hence the drive to alter the verbiage to "climate change." You see, ANY spikes, abnormalities or extremes are now being blamed on "climate change" no matter how scientifically normal the circumstances. These people are shameless in their drive to confiscate more and more money to spread amongst themselves.

Yes, it really is about money and power. What has been notably lacking in any discussion of global warming or climate change is the notion that the world exists in a stable equilibrium. As normal variations drive the temperatures up, more water enters the atmosphere, increasing the cloud cover, reflecting the sun's rays, and thereby driving the temps back down. A bit over-simplified, perhaps, but that's the idea. The other interesting topic that never gets raised: where was all that carbon before we released it? Well, in fossil fuels, of course! Where was the carbon before it was in the fossil fuels? Apparently in the flora that ultimately became fossil fuels. And where was it before that? Well, in the air, of course. The carbon cycle is complete. And given the amount of fossil fuels available, the earth must have been a veritable garden back when the ancient flora was growing (and the carbon so high). There are other logical fallacies in the supposedly scientific debate over global warming, but that should do for now...

Here, in SoCal, it's been in the eighties all the month of June. That's at least 12-15 degrees lower than the last ten years at this time.
I don't know if I'd call that global 'warming', but I do think I died and went to Heaven!

So I guess you are telling me that the palm trees I planted in Pennsylvania may not even survive the Summer if we ever have one. I planted tall ones that I thought would be too big to fail. Oh well, maybe I will get a bale out.
