What Will Become of Trump’s SC Picks if Democrats Win Back The Senate?
by

Donald Trump has thrown a bone to conservatives by releasing a list of conservative jurists he would appoint to The Supreme Court to replace the late Justice Anton Scalia. The list included longtime conservative favorites like Bill Pryor and Diane Sykes as well Thomas Lee whose brother is Utah GOP Senator Mike Lee. This list has earned Trump praise from conservatives.

But one of the judges on the list, Don Willett of the Texas Supreme Court, is no fan of Trump and has been mocking him on Twitter for the better part of a year. Needless to say, Judge Willett has gained one more Twitter follower.

Frankly, I doubt Trump has any idea who Willett much less cite a single opinion he’s written. As such, I don’t the list is worth the paper on which its printed. Let’s keep in mind that there’s a very good chance the Democrats will gain control of the Senate. Does anyone think this list will see the light of day if Chuck Schumer becomes the Senate Majority Leader? Conservatives shouldn’t be so easily purchased by Trump – again.
