There’s an eerie similarity between the NFL collective bargaining agreement and the debt ceiling negotiations.
In both cases, everyone is talking as if a deal has been reached except for the two parties involved. Since the NFL owners have at least ratified a new CBA, however, I’d say that professional football is a bit further along than the federal government.
