Donald Trump is expected to pick his running mate on Friday. The field has evidently been narrowed to Newt Gingrich, Chris Christie and Indiana Governor Mike Pence. Of course, it would come as a shock to no one if Trump were to pick none of the above.
But whoever Trump picks let us be reminded that he insisted on seeing the tax returns of his potential number twos.
Trump, of course, flatly refuses to release his tax returns…at least until after the election. Of course, it would be academic if he loses the election. But if he wins somehow I doubt he’ll be in any more hurry to be forthcoming than he is now.
Be careful of electing someone who holds others to standards they won’t adhere to themselves.
