Within the same week, American forces were ineptly and embarrassingly withdrawn from Afghanistan, leaving behind billions of dollars’ worth of military equipment for terrorists to use, endangering American civilians, and abandoning women and girls to a lifetime of slavery and rape. Congress debated an infrastructure bill that is a fraud, since only a small portion is dedicated to the bridges and roads it was advertised to help. The southern border continued to be overrun thanks to the absurd words and deeds of the president and vice president, and the White House spread those unvaccinated illegals across the nations, a factor in the resurgence of the pandemic. That same open border will be used by reinvigorated terrorists to infiltrate the nation to set up the next 9/11.
While all this was unfolding, President Joe Biden was either at home in Delaware or at Camp David.
In addition to those extraordinary national crises, vast numbers of people were reported shot over the weekend in America’s once great cities following lax progressive crime policies. The Democratic governors of the nations’ two most prominent states, California and New York, were on the verge of leaving or being tossed out of office due to their incompetence or moral corruption.
Despite all of this, there were no mass demonstrations on the streets. No calls for investigations from the FBI or the Department of Justice. No special investigators have been appointed. Congress has not called for impeachment. There were few special news shows. There were no cries from the usual coterie of news anchors, editorial pages, pressure groups, and college campuses for an explanation of how so much could have gone so wrong in the brief months since the Democrats took total control of the federal government.
This stands out in stark contrast to the hysteria that occurred in the aftermath of the wholly false charges levied against President Trump, despite the growing clarity that Democratic Party partisan politics and the corruption of its key leaders is behind so much of what is going wrong.
Indeed, who are those key leaders? Based on the policies pursued by the White House and Congress, it appears that they are Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, Jamaal Bowman, and Cori Bush.
Their influence, whether on the questions of illegal immigration, foreign affairs, national security, taxation and spending, crime, anti-Semitism, or the integrity of the electoral system, reigns supreme within the Democratic Party. Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appear wholly intimidated by and completely subservient to the extreme socialists within their ranks.
No act of corruption appears too broad for that socialist wing, or those who do their bidding. The agencies of government appear wholly politicized on their behalf.
Even as New Yorkers forced the resignation of their governor who is accused of being responsible for the unnecessary deaths of thousands of seniors, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that his office would not act against Cuomo.
The U.S. military leadership, which had throughout its proud history faithfully ignored partisan politics, now appears more invested in furthering “woke” goals than in addressing the imminent threats from China, Russia, and Iran.
Two vast areas of corruption remain substantively unaddressed by official Washington in this orgy of partisanship.
The massive wave of unvaccinated illegals pouring through the Biden-loosened border is largely ignored because it is believed that they will vote on the Democratic line, at first illegitimately due to lax ballot security, and eventually legitimately once given a path to citizenship.
China has gained tremendously from Biden’s abandonment of Trump’s confrontational policies towards it. Combined with his family’s financial gains from that nation, there is more than enough reason to commence an investigation. Don’t hold your breath waiting for that to happen.
America is in deep peril.
