If there was any bit of bad news for Mitt Romney last night, it’s this: while overall turnout was higher for the New Hampshire primary than in 2008, turnout among actual Republicans was down 16 percent. It’s the latest sign that Romney isn’t exactly wowing the base and the main reason many conservatives hope there is still time to beat him.
