I appreciate John Tabin’s thoughts about Journolist, but find his analysis wholly unconvincing. I’m also bothered by what appears to be his desire to give the Journolisters a pass: by putting their efforts in the most innocuous light possible.
Of course, as John knows, the Journolisters are not young undergraduate students prone to rhetorical excess and self-indulgence. They are professional “journalists” (read: left-wing political activists) who worked — and continue to work! — at some of the nation’s most prestigious and influential media outlets.
I’ll respond to John later today with a new blog post that articulates our disagreement in greater detail.
