VIDEO: Seattle Sleeps on Property Crime, Businesses Wake Up

The lack of accountability that follows softer legislation on shoplifting and vandalism will logically invite more shoplifting and vandalism.

Washington doesn’t seem to have gotten the memo. According to a new report, Seattle police will stop enforcing property crimes that create less than $750 in damage.

Across the country, shoplifting and vandalism cases are not being pursued by law enforcement. Some state policies take things a step further, deterring employees from acting to stop these crimes.  

The guaranteed lack of accountability aids in increasing crime. Many business owners are now speaking up to express concern.
