Not For Nothing
by

By now readers know that Sayfullo Saipov killed eight people in New York Tuesday, using a truck and the ISIS playbook, and would have liked to have killed more. Witnesses say he shouted Allahu akbar while committing mass murder. I guess word hasn’t reached him that love trumps hate.

Saipov is a 29-year-old scholar from Uzbekistan. We learned today that he entered the United States on something called a “diversity” visa, the love child, uh, make that brain child, of Senator Chuck Schumer of New York. I wonder how many New Yorkers will connect these dots to Chuck’s disadvantage.

But wait. Diversity? Diversity is our strength, as any fool will tell us.

I guess we don’t call them fools for nothing.
