No Jail Time for Bowe Bergdahl
by

Bowe Bergdahl abandoned his post and was captured by the Taliban. In an effort to find him, good men died and others were permanently disabled.

To get the deserter back, Barack Obama traded five terrorists. The President of the United States negotiated with terrorists.

The final insult of the story came today: the judge involved in sentencing Bergdahl is not making him serve any time. Nothing. Not one minute in jail.

This abomination of justice is shameful. The whole process of getting this guy back is shameful.

I wrote a couple weeks ago about the eroding of military institutions. This will be just one more in the long line of dishonorable ways the leadership of the military is letting their troops and the country, down.

The American Spectator has covered Bowe Bergdahl from the beginning. Read more of the history here.
