Acting U.S. Attorney General Sally Q. Yates refused to faithfully discharge the duties of her office. So Donald Trump fired her. It’s not unusual for people to be fired for rank insubordination. But it doesn’t happen that often in government. It certainly didn’t happen in Obama’s “Justice” Department where everyone was always a team player.

La Yates got the push for refusing to defend Trump’s executive order on immigration. Of course lefties would not consider it untoward for Obama to fire any cabinet member who refused to defend his policies. But this doesn’t stop those same lefties from fainting, hyperventilating, moaning, and gnashing their teeth when Trump fires someone for cause. David Gergen is more perplexed than usual. Chuck Schumer is looking for his jar of artificial tears. I don’t even want to check in with Rachel Maddow, if the EMTs haven’t hauled her off yet.

The Trump boy is really shaking things up, isn’t he? Things that badly need shaking. And don’t you just love it?

We have a new acting AG, one Dana Doente of Virginia. And the left’s fund-raising circuit has a new A-list speaker in Yates. They need some new talent now that Mz Hillary’s speaking fees have dropped from a half mill to a Whopper and biggie fries. Anita Hill may have to retire.

Yates will be piling up some serious frequent flyer miles making all her speaking gigs. And the cherry on top of this sundae is that her schedule will keep her from teaching law students. That’s a very good thing.
