Are you conservative? Do you want to become a journalist? Get your start with The American Spectator’s Young Writers Program.

Editorial interns will be challenged to write multiple articles a week for The American Spectator. They will constantly hone their writing abilities with the guidance of our editorial team. 

Editorial interns should have originality, excellent writing skills, a strong interest in politics, and a desire to learn. 

This opportunity is in-person at our office in Alexandria, Virginia, during the summer of 2023. Interns will also participate in a weekly class with a rotating group of conservative journalists. The position is paid. 

College students interested in the editorial internship should send a resume and links to three journalistic writing samples to editor@spectator.org. Please direct any questions to the same address. The deadline to apply is March 15.

Development interns will work on fundraising campaigns, event planning, and subscription marketing. They will also have the opportunity to write and will participate in our weekly intern class. 

Development interns should have strong communication skills; attention to detail; and an interest in fundraising, events, and marketing.

Development interns must work in-person at our office in Alexandria, Virginia, during the summer of 2023. The position is paid.
