It is worth noting that the 87 House Republican freshman voted 59 to 28 in favor of the debt ceiling deal. While a significant number of Tea Party freshmen have voted against the leadership on both the debt ceiling and this spring’s continuing resolution battle, no full-scale freshman revolt has ever materialized.
