The Wash Post’s Thomas Boswell, whom I have considered for more than three decades to be the finest sportswriter on golf and baseball in the country, has a persuasive and characteristically eloquent column out this morning saying that golfer Tom Lehman deserves a special exemption into this year’s U.S. Open.
