Kevin Mooney is an investigative reporter with free market think tanks associated with the Franklin Center for Government and Public Integrity. He has also written for the Daily Caller, the Washington Times, the Washington Examiner, NetRightDaily.com and NewsBusters. Kevin Mooney is an investigative reporter who writes for several publications based in the Washington, D.C. area. He is currently an investigative reporter with The Daily Signal, the multimedia news publication of The Heritage Foundation, and with the Commonwealth Foundation, a free market think tank based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Kevin currently writes for National Review, The Daily Signal, The Epoch Times, The Washington Examiner, Broad & Liberty, and the publications of the Capital Research Center. His work has also appeared in The Washington Free Beacon, The Washington Times, The Daily Caller, the American Spectator, Newsbusters and Breitbart.com Prior to joining the Heritage Foundation and the Commonwealth Foundation, Kevin worked as an investigative reporter with The Pelican Institute for Public Policy based in New Orleans, Louisiana,the Rhode Island Center for Freedom and Prosperity, the Franklin Center and CNSNews.com. Kevin specializes in reporting on the environmental movement, its impact on economic activity, and new scientific data that questions the premise of man-made global warming. Another special area of interest concerns the actions of organized labor and its impact on public policy and the free market. Kevin has also appeared on several Fox News programs including the Tucker Carlson program where he discussed the financial relationship between the Russian government and the U.S. environmental movement. He also appeared on the Glenn Beck program to discuss the connection between organized labor and the now defunct Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). Kevin was also the first to report on the taxpayer funding made available to ACORN in midst of voter fraud activity that involved ACORN and its operatives in the 2008 election cycle. Prior to arriving in Washington, D.C., Kevin worked as a reporter for the Trenton Times and Forbes Newspapers in New Jersey. He also held editorial positions with Dow Jones and Company and Bloomberg News in Princeton, N.J. In 2017, Kevin received his Fourth Degree (also known as the Patriotic Degree) in the Knights of Columbus. He belongs to the Bishop Griffin Assembly in N.J.
