An Encouraging Sign

It would be easy to despair these days as the various precincts of the America-Is-Awful brigade seem to command the heights of contemporary culture, and any gesture of patriotism or love of country is ruled out of order by the smart set. But these villains haven’t had their way with all of us, as this good news out of California informs us.

Before a championship girls softball game in Fresno, it was announced that there would be no playing of the National Anthem. So the solid Americanos in the stands stood up and sang it themselves. Perhaps not exactly on key, but who cares?

God bless these solid Fresno patriots.
