The last several polls in Illinois show Mark Kirk pulling narrowly ahead of Alexi Giannoulias in the race for the Senate seat once held by Barack Obama. That’s good news for Iranian democrats, who will gain an eloquent advocate if Kirk wins, as I expect he will.
