Stand With Hillary, which is not “Ready for Hillary” but is also clearly ready for Hillary, has released a country music video for the Presidential candidate that’s no doubt considered one of the least “country” people in American history. It features everything that makes America America: apple pie, construction workers, grazing cattle, riding motorcycles in the country, mountains, the family blessing before dinner, little children holding fireworks, and the aging, radical matriarch of a well-to-do political dynasty.
Becasuse, obviously.
Honestly, this is probably the greatest country music video I’ve ever seen. Not just because I am not a huge fan of country music and as such, have seen very few music videos that don’t feature a shirtless Blake Shelton, but because this video is everything I want it to be an more. It is my everything. I want this video to be my spirit animal. And I hope there’s a sequel where the cowboy ropes and hogties something before tucking into a six pack of Lone Star with a grizzled old-timer with a bullet hole in his hat, and chats with him about how they’d have conquered the West even faster if they’d only been fitted with silk pantsuits.
