A Different Kind of Election Night
by

“Conservative-libertarians,” as Mr. Tyrrell likes to call them, have had a rough time of things in the last two elections.  Tonight, they have some expectation of doing better and perhaps not spending the evening under the coffee table dodging big government schrapnel.

Friends at the Heartland Institute blog are running an interesting contest which may appeal to prognosticators like Jim Antle and Quin Hillyer.  Go to their blog and guess the make-up of the House and Senate.  If you are one of the closest guessers, you’ll win a copy of P.J. O’Rourke’s new book which is ironically titled Don’t Vote, It Only Encourages the Bastards.

I shall be headed there to submit my own guesses which will be way too conservative because that’s the way I roll.  You’ll beat me.  I’m sure of it.

My own guess is that the House goes to 230-205 for the GOP.  And the Senate moves to 52-48 for the Dems.
