Despite yesterday’s Rasmussen poll showing him beating incumbent Indiana Senator Evan Bayh, Rep. Mike Pence announced this morning that will not run for Senate. At this afternoon’s bloggers’ briefing at The Heritage Foundation, Pence said that this was “easily the most difficult decision of [his] political career,” but that he is “absolutely convinced that Republicans will take back Congress in 2010” and he wants to remain part of the House GOP leadership.
