Budget talks between the Democratic-controlled Senate and Republican-controlled House have reportedly stalled. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid says the Tea Party is to blame:
The infighting between the tea party and the rest of the Republican party, including the Republican leadership in Congress, is keeping our negotiating partner [from] the negotiating table. It’s pretty hard to negotiate without someone on the other side of the table to talk to.
Of course, Reid failed to pass a budget last year when his party controlled the White House and both houses of Congress, and there was no Tea Party caucus to speak of.
