Rep. John Boehner was just elected Speaker of the House, with 241 votes to Rep. Nancy Pelosi’s 173. An additional 18 Democrats voted for someone other than Pelosi (Rep. Heath Schuler received the most of that bunch with 11), and one voted present.
Among the other Democrats receiving votes for speaker, Rep. John Lewis received two votes, and the following Representatives received one vote each: Dennis Cardoza, Jim Cooper, Jim Costa, Steny Hoyer and Marcy Kaptur.
