Former UN Ambassador John Bolton announced today that he will not be making a GOP bid for the White House.
This isn’t particularly surprising. Bolton had contemplated a White House bid in 2012, but ultimately did not run.
Of course, one needn’t be President of the United States to make an impact.
Save for Rand Paul, Bolton would be the top candidate for Secretary of State should a Republican win in 2016.
Lord knows he would be a definite improvement over John Kerry, never mind Hillary Clinton.
