The only way to describe Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions endorsement of Donald Trump yesterday is that it is a dagger to Ted Cruz’s heart.
While Cruz never fails to declare his pride in not being part of the “Washington cartel”, he also never fails to mention his work with Sessions on the question of immigration.
Not only will Cruz not be able to boast about his relationship with Sessions, but Trump is sure to rub his face with it during the next GOP debate in Detroit on Thursday.
Unless Cruz can win at least one southern state outside of Texas tomorrow, it is difficult to see how his campaign remains viable.
