If you believe it (take the words of Professor Schmidt seriously) Iowa voters don’t give a darn about the naitonal media story line that Huckabee is melting down. The results: Huckabee 32%, Romney 26%, McCain 13%, Paul and Thompson 9% and Rudy 5%. Well that’s the headline for tomorrow and the story for January 2 in local Iowa press. If that holds, McCain garners momentum going into NH and quite likely wins there. Then James may be spared his civil war and it may come down to Huckabee vs. McCain. For those who love irony, they will certainly enjoy watching the GOP establishment rally to McCain’s side. But that’s eons away and if we have learned anything we should know that we know nothing. So I guess we have to let people vote and watch the results? What a concept! What a country!
