Romney spokesman Kevin Madden: “Senator Clinton’s troubling answer on providing drivers licenses to illegal immigrants was emblematic of someone who is both dismissive of efforts to enforce our nation’s immigration laws and entirely unwilling to offer a straight answer to a very direct question.”
From Team Rudy: “Chalk up providing illegal aliens with drivers’ licenses as another one of the things Hillary Clinton didn’t mean to say. She’s right the government can’t afford her tax hikes, but the American people can’t afford half baked ideas that undermine their safety and security.”
